 he origins of Cédrus Computer Ltd. is going back to the mid ’90s as an IT retail shop-chain and wholesaler company. The wholesaler division started as a logistic center for the chain of 20 shops and this logistic center penetrated into the IT reseller market and achieved success. In Q1 2001 there was a management change and capital investment. The new management continued their existing wholesale activity, widened the collected experience and relations in order to supply their partners in a more complex way as a market leader distributor.
As a distributor we negotiated and signed distribution agreement with worldwide known and acknowledged vendors, in order to provide more wider portfolio to our reseller partners.The number of our partners has grown from 200 to 1100 in

the last 5 years, from whom 400 are weekly buyer.50 % of our resellers located in the countryside. In every larger cities we have at least 5 partners that are concentrating and distributing our products. Some of our main partners are supplying retailers with PCs.
In Q2 2003 the management decided to build up a new department within the company. We established a group for attacking the biggest system integrators in Hungary and got in contact with new vendors, manufacturing value added product lines. The tasks of the division are to keep contact with these partners and to help them to participate on government bids.
Our goal is to be No. 1 IT distributor in Hungary on countrywide base and to strengthen our countrywide activity in local distribution market. This activity focuses on support for local IT companies and to help them in developing competitive services which provides alternative to the market besides chain stores. As one of the first companies we have developed our own online channel distribution and logistic ordering system, which is very successful besides our partners. In order to provide the best quality services to our partners we have introduced a complex company sales-accounting-management system and we are introducing ISO 9000 in Q2 2006.
In 2008 the company moved to a new office with big warehouse located in the most preferred IT district of Budapest.
